Mobile Market Impact Report: Bringing Food—and Dignity—Directly to Our Community
Across Eagle County and surrounding rural communities, many of our neighbors live in geographic and economic food deserts, where access to fresh, nutritious food is limited by distance, cost, and transportation barriers. For families without reliable transportation, seniors on fixed incomes, or individuals working multiple jobs, even a short trip to a grocery store can feel out of reach.
That’s why we expanded beyond the walls of The Community Market and launched our Mobile Market program—bringing food directly into the heart of the communities we serve. By meeting people where they are, we remove barriers, restore dignity, and ensure that individuals, families, and seniors can consistently access healthy, culturally relevant food. We believe no one should be denied nutritious food simply because they cannot get to it.
For Mona, a single mother of two living in a more remote part of the county, the Mobile Market has been life-changing. Working long hours and without a car, she often relied on convenience stores to feed her family—options that were expensive and limited. Now, when the Mobile Market arrives in her neighborhood each week, her children run to help carry home fresh fruits, vegetables, and proteins. She recently shared, “It feels like someone thought about us. Like we matter.”
Stories like Mona’s are why this work matters.
Our Mobile Markets operate weekly across six locations throughout Eagle County, creating consistent, trusted access points for neighbors who need them most. In 2025 alone, we hosted 231 markets, serving 4,540 households—reaching 12,450 individuals. Each week, an average of 87 people access fresh, nutritious food through this program.
This innovative approach is about more than food—it’s about connection, trust, and community resilience. It ensures that every neighbor, regardless of circumstance, has the opportunity not just to get by, but to truly thrive.
