A Day of Joy: Celebrating Our Kids at Día de los Niños
At Eagle Valley Community Foundation, we welcome every opportunity to celebrate the children in our community. That’s why we are proud to come together to host our 5th annual Día de los Niños Celebration and Youth Resource Fair on April 30 at Gypsum Town Park. This event is a vibrant celebration rooted in culture, connection, and opportunity. We believe every child deserves the care, support, and resources they need to grow and thrive – and this event is a chance to show just how much our community cares.
Día de los Niños (Children’s Day) is a cherished tradition across many Latin American cultures, honoring the important role children play in our families and communities. For many of the families we serve, it is a day filled with joy, laughter, and pride. At MIRA, we celebrate this tradition because we understand how meaningful it is for children to see their identities reflected and honored. By creating a space where everyone feels welcome and safe, we’re not only lifting up our youth – we’re also bringing our community closer together.
But beyond the celebration is an opportunity to connect families with vital youth support services. From mental health programs to early learning resources, local service providers are on hand to ensure that families have access to the tools and resources they need to thrive. At its core, this fair reflects MIRA’s mission of bringing resources directly into neighborhoods and meeting families where they are, ensuring that barriers – like transportation or language – do not prevent families from accessing the critical resources they need.
