Welcome New Staff!
The Eagle Valley Community Foundation is expanding! We are thrilled to welcome four new staff members to the team who will play a critical role in expanding our community impact.
Gwen Cagle, Executive Assistant & Board Liaison
Gwen has a degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and a professional background in nonprofits and education. She is from Colorado, grew up in Castle Rock and went to high school in Cherry Hills. She moved to the valley in 2020, leaving her remote fundraising role with the University of Colorado – Leeds School of Business to get back into project management with Skyline Mechanical. Most recently, she was working in property management and serving at Il Mago. She is a lover of all animals, especially dogs, enjoys traveling, skiing, hiking, camping, river activities, live music, and is an avid yogi.
Yulianna Delgado, MIRA Community Health Advocate
Yulianna was born and raised in Colombia. Her journey in Colorado started four years ago. For over two years, she worked with children and families in the Montessori education system. She has a certificate in an Eagle County course called “Campeones del Sistema” that helps individuals navigate through disparities and barriers that the valley might have. Graduating from this course, she now joins EVCF because she is passionate about contributing to her community. In her free time, she likes to dance and sing, hiking with her doggies, camping with friends and her husband, going to concerts, and paddle boarding.
Hillary Scanlan, Development Officer
Hillary joins us as a seasoned communications and grant strategy professional with eight years of experience in grant writing, content creation, and program management. During their tenure at National Jewish Health Hospital, Hillary secured over $14M in grants, showcasing a proven ability to align funding opportunities with organizational priorities. They bring expertise in crafting strategic grant proposals, managing complex budgets, and developing outcome analytics reports, all while cultivating strong relationships with funders and partners. Their deep understanding of nonprofit operations and effective communication strategies will be invaluable in advancing EVCF’s mission.
Alison Schlichting, Bookkeeper
Alison has a business administration degree with an emphasis in accounting from CU Boulder (Sko Buffs!). She worked for Vail Resorts for many years in several different roles. She also did a short stint as an English Teacher in Asia. She is so excited to begin doing work that helps her engage in the community and with such an incredible team. Alison loves hiking, backpacking, camping, and mountain biking in the summer. In the winter, she’s skiing every chance she can get!
