The 3rd Annual Posadas Celebration
Our 3rd Annual Posadas Celebration was a huge success, reaching 395 families across Eagle County and raising $4,119 to ensure every child received a toy this holiday season. The event, rooted in heritage and unity, serves as an opportunity to bring people together, honor cultural traditions, and support our vibrant community. Families enjoyed free posole, catered by the Eagle Valley High School Cooking Class, as well as breads and pastries provided by Elevar business, Yuli’s Berries. Rather than receiving pre-selected items, parents also had the opportunity to choose toys, books and blankets for their families, allowing them to feel the joy of giving in a way that honors their role as providers. This simple act fosters a deeper sense of pride and connection during the holidays. Families also got the chance to visit with Santa and decorate sugar cookies!
Additional highlights from the event:
- Free COVID-19 and flu vaccinations were administered by Eagle County Public Health.
- Health insurance enrollment assistance through OmniSalud helped families to secure coverage.
- Health screenings were provided by Eagle County Paramedics.
- Activities and crafts were provided by My Future Pathways.
- Free groceries from The Community Market.
- A visit from the Eagle Valley Library District’s brand-new Bookmobile, bringing books and digital resources directly to the community.
