The Community Market Nominated in Three Best of Vail Valley Categories

We are thrilled to share that The Community Market Edwards, a program of Eagle Valley Community Foundation, has been nominated in three Best of Vail Valley categories:

• Sustainable Organization
• Nonprofit: Environment, Conservation & Sustainability
• Nonprofit: Food, Clothing & Housing

These nominations recognize the many ways The Community Market supports both our neighbors and our environment. Through our Edwards and Gypsum storefronts, Mobile Markets, food rescue partnerships, and community outreach programs, we work to ensure local families can access fresh, nutritious food with dignity.

Sustainability is also central to our work. We recover surplus food from local grocers, restaurants, farms, and community partners, helping keep nutritious food from going to waste while making it available to neighbors throughout the Eagle River Valley. Whenever possible, remaining food scraps are shared with farmers for animal feed or composted to support healthier soil.

Being nominated in three categories is a meaningful recognition of the staff members, volunteers, donors, food partners, and community supporters who make this work possible every day. Most importantly, it reflects a community that believes access to nourishing food and care for our environment go hand in hand.
