Expanding Access, Together: Vail Health, Eagle County Paramedics, and MIRA Bring Care Closer to Home
Access to healthcare is about more than having a clinic nearby—it is about creating opportunities for people to receive care when and where they need it. Through a growing partnership between Vail Health, Eagle County Paramedics, and MIRA, more community members are able to access essential healthcare services directly in the places they live and work.
MIRA continues to expand its impact by bringing medical services beyond traditional healthcare settings and meeting people where they are. This summer, Vail Health providers are returning to the MIRA bus, increasing the availability of medical consultations, health screenings, and lab services for community members who may face barriers to accessing traditional care.
With providers back on board, MIRA is increasing the number of days patients can receive clinical support, including consultations with healthcare professionals and access to important diagnostic services. These expanded services help ensure earlier intervention, better management of health concerns, and stronger connections to ongoing care.
A key part of MIRA’s success has been the consistent support of Eagle County Paramedics, who continue to provide care on the bus every Monday and Wednesday. Their presence offers community members reliable access to experienced medical professionals who can assess health needs, provide guidance, and help connect individuals with additional resources when needed.
This collaboration represents the power of organizations working together toward a shared goal: making healthcare more accessible, responsive, and equitable throughout the Eagle River Valley. By combining Vail Health’s clinical expertise, Eagle County Paramedics’ trusted community presence, and MIRA’s ability to bring services directly to residents, the partnership is helping remove barriers and create a more connected healthcare system.
As MIRA continues to grow, its mission remains the same—to bring compassionate, convenient care to the community and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to access the support they need.
