Bringing Health and Wellness to the Community: The MIRA Health & Wellness Fair

Access to health care should never depend on the language you speak, where you live, or your ability to navigate a complicated system. However, for many families in Eagle County, finding affordable, culturally responsive health care can be challenging. Transportation, language barriers, cost, and difficulty navigating insurance and health care systems can prevent people from getting the support they need. The annual MIRA Health & Wellness Fair helps bridge these gaps by connecting community members with free services, trusted providers, and practical resources to support their health and well-being.

On Saturday, October 24, we transformed the Eagle River Center into a hub of health, wellness, and community connection. The 2026 Annual MIRA Health & Wellness Fair, held in partnership with more than 32 local organizations, welcomed community members for a day focused on making health resources more accessible. Together, our partners offered a wide range of services and information, helping individuals and families connect with the care and support they need. By bringing health services directly into the community, MIRA helps reduce barriers to care and connects residents with resources that might otherwise be difficult to access. The fair is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when local organizations work together to support a healthier Eagle County.

Connecting Community Members with Care

The MIRA Health & Wellness Fair offered a variety of free services and educational resources designed to meet the diverse needs of our community, including:

  • Preventive health screenings: Blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol checks to help attendees better understand and monitor their health.
  • Dental and vision resources: Opportunities to learn about oral and vision health and connect with relevant services.
  • Mental health and emotional well-being: Resources and support to help individuals and families navigate stress, anxiety, and other behavioral health concerns.
  • Nutrition and healthy living: Educational resources to help families make informed choices about nutrition and everyday wellness.
  • Family-friendly activities: Engaging, hands-on opportunities for children to learn about healthy habits while enjoying a day in the community.

The impact of the MIRA Health & Wellness Fair extends beyond the services provided in a single day. For community members navigating complex health care systems, a conversation with a trusted provider or a connection to an unfamiliar resource can be an important first step toward ongoing care. By creating a space where families can ask questions, access information, and connect with local organizations, the fair helps build trust and strengthen relationships between community members and the providers who serve them.

A Healthier Community, Together

We are grateful to the more than 32 organizations, dedicated volunteers, health care providers, and community members who helped make the MIRA Health & Wellness Fair possible. Each partner contributed to a shared goal: ensuring more Eagle County residents can access the resources and care they need to thrive.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this day of connection and wellness a success!
