Partner of the Month: Slifer Smith & Frampton
We’re proud to recognize Slifer Smith & Frampton (SSF) as our Partner of the Month and to celebrate their longstanding commitment to Eagle Valley Community Foundation and the broader Eagle County community.
A dedicated supporter since 2020, Slifer Smith & Frampton has consistently shown up for neighbors—especially during moments of greatest need. Beyond their ongoing financial support, the SSF team leads by example through hands-on service, regularly volunteering at The Community Market (TCM). From bagging green beans for Thanksgiving Baskets to hosting food drives that help keep shelves stocked, SSF goes above and beyond to ensure local families don’t have to choose between paying a bill and buying groceries.
SSF’s impact extends even further through their community giveback program, which allows brokers to designate a local nonprofit of their choice at the closing of each deal. Through this model, SSF empowers its team to invest directly in the causes they care about most—strengthening the fabric of our community with every transaction.
This month, we sat down with SSF Broker Patrick Scanlan to learn more about why he chooses Eagle Valley Community Foundation as his nonprofit of choice and what community engagement means to him.

What inspires you to volunteer with EVCF?
The people. From the EVCF staff and board members to the community members who utilize EVCF’s programs. The staff is welcoming, hardworking, and deeply engaged, which shows how much they care about the mission. Seeing neighbors shop at The Community Market or attend events like La Posada really highlights the importance and need for the programs EVCF offers.
Do you have a favorite volunteer opportunity?
My favorite volunteer opportunity is supporting The Community Market during business hours. I enjoy connecting with staff and fellow volunteers, as well as engaging with customers while they shop. Volunteering at the La Posada event in Gypsum was also incredibly meaningful—it brought the community together to celebrate the traditions and culture of the Latino community, which is such an integral part of our valley.
Why do you choose EVCF as your designated nonprofit after a closing?
EVCF is addressing the most pressing needs in our community: food scarcity, affordable healthcare, and education.
We are deeply grateful to Slifer Smith & Frampton and to partners like Patrick who choose to invest their time, resources, and leadership in our community. Your commitment reflects a shared belief in the power of connection, generosity, and collective care—and we’re honored to partner with you.
Thank you for helping ensure Eagle County remains a place where neighbors support neighbors.
