Elevar Business Spotlight – Pure Sense Columbian Coffee

This month, we’re excited to spotlight Pure Sense Colombian Coffee, an Elevar business founded by husband-and-wife team Diego and Marcela. Passionate about exceptional coffee, they’re keeping Eagle County caffeinated with freshly roasted, high-quality Colombian coffee sourced from sustainable farms.

We asked Diego and Marcela to share their Elevar story below.

Can you tell us about your business?

Pure Sense Colombian Coffee was born from a deep understanding of Colombian-origin coffee and its world-renowned quality. More than offering exceptional coffee, our mission is to share the story behind every bean, from the fertile lands where it is grown and the dedicated farmers who cultivate it with care, to the unique characteristics each region contributes. We believe coffee is a world waiting to be discovered, rich in distinctive flavors, aromas, and textures. Every cup offers an authentic sensory experience, creating a direct connection to its origin, Colombia’s coffee culture, and the passion of the people who make this tradition possible.

What inspired you to apply for Elevar?

When we applied to Elevar, we were inspired by the opportunity to connect with the community, create new opportunities for our business, and expand our knowledge of running a company. We understand that every culture and market is different, with unique customers, preferences, needs, purchasing power, and accessibility. Elevar became more than a business opportunity, it opened the door for us to become part of an incredible community while helping us grow both personally and professionally.  

What was your experience as a member of the Elevar cohort?

The experience was truly enriching. It allowed us to expand our network, learn new skills and techniques, and gain different perspectives. We realized that although our businesses were different, we shared many of the same challenges and needs. Having access to valuable knowledge and building meaningful relationships not only exceeded our expectations but also left a lasting impact on our hearts.

What were your biggest takeaways or learnings from the program?

We gained valuable knowledge in areas such as logistics, marketing, financial management, and accessing new business resources. We also learned how a supportive community, word-of-mouth referrals, and recommendations can help a business grow step by step. 

One suggestion for the program would be to include more opportunities to address the specific needs of individual businesses, as some of the general content may not be equally applicable to every type of business.  

How has Elevar supported your business’s growth or success?

Elevar helped us build meaningful connections within the community. Although we had been living in the Valley for some time, we were unfamiliar with how to connect with people, access the right information, and assess the viability of different opportunities. The knowledge we gained and the relationships we built were the program’s greatest benefits and the most valuable outcomes for us.
