Celebrating Our Inaugural Elevar Cohort Graduation
We’re thrilled to announce the graduation of our very first Elevar cohort. Elevar launched in 2022 as the third signature program of EVCF, focusing on Community Capacity Building. Elevar is an emergent leadership development program and social impact fund that provides community investments through grantmaking and program-related investments to emerging Latinx leaders and people of color. Elevar was founded on the idea that empowering community members to build their own capacity as authentic leaders, advocates, and respected members of the community will lead to broader systemic shifts across Eagle County.
Elevar not only provides financial support to budding entrepreneurs but also fosters authentic leadership and advocacy skills among community members. By equipping individuals with the tools to thrive as advocates and leaders, Elevar is helping to reshape the future of Eagle County. These investments in people spark broader systemic shifts, ensuring a more inclusive and equitable community for generations to come.
The (7) inspiring entrepreneurs who were selected as the first Elevar cohort have worked tirelessly to grow their businesses and build lasting connections. On November 20, these (7) BIPOC entrepreneurs were honored at Elevar’s inaugural graduation ceremony, which was hosted by Magda King at the Antlers Condominium in Vail. Each entrepreneur received $5,000, as well as a Virtue Award and certificate of program completion from the Steering Committee. The Steering Committee also received certificates of participation to recognize their time, effort and dedication to the Elevar program. Seventy-five people were in attendance, including community members, coworkers, family and friends who have played an important role in the lives of our graduates.
As the first cohort of Elevar graduates steps into the next chapter of their entrepreneurial journey, we’re excited to see the ripple effect of their success. The impact of your support extends beyond just these seven businesses—it ripples outward into their communities, empowering future generations of leaders, innovators, and change-makers.
