2026 MIRA Health & Wellness Fair

Your health. Your family. Your community.

Saturday, October 24, 2026 | 3–6 p.m.
NEW LOCATION: Eagle River Center at the Eagle County Fairgrounds

Join Eagle Valley Community Foundation’s MIRA program for an afternoon of health resources, community connections, and a free dinner. Meet local providers, explore services for you and your family, and connect with organizations supporting well-being throughout Eagle County.

Health Screenings & Preventive Care

  • Eagle County Public Health & Environment — Immunization Team: Immunizations for children with Medicaid or no insurance, plus flu vaccines for adults. Adult COVID vaccines may be available.
  • Eagle County Paramedic Services: General health and nutrition screenings, basic vital signs, A1C testing, and help connecting with a primary care provider at Mountain Family Health Centers. Basic lab draws will be available for Mountain Family patients or people establishing care.
  • Eagle Lions Club: Vision screenings for children ages 2–9, vision voucher applications, and eye and sun safety information.
  • Vail Health: Car seat checks, breast health information, and mammogram orders. Howard Head Sports Medicine will offer physical therapy information and an activity.
  • Vail Valley Charitable Fund: Information about financial assistance during a medical crisis and applications for the Free Screening Mammogram Program.
  • Mountain Family Health Centers: Information about health care services and health insurance.
  • University of Colorado Anschutz Cancer Center: An information table with the Cancer Center team.

Mental Health & Community Connection

  • Charlie Health: Information about virtual intensive outpatient mental health treatment for Spanish-speaking individuals.
  • SpeakUp ReachOut: Suicide prevention and awareness resources.
  • BodyKind Vail: Eating disorder peer support information, educational fact sheets, and information about available services.
  • Trio Therapy Partners: Information about mental health counseling services.
  • Mountain Pride: LGBTQ+ resources in English and Spanish, upcoming programs and events, and information about the new community center and drop-in hours. Free clothing may be available.

Resources for Children, Families & Caregivers

  • Eagle County Early Head Start: Information about program services and application requirements.
  • Eagle County Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP): Information about child care assistance and other public assistance programs.
  • Eagle County WIC: Program information, appointment scheduling for new and existing clients, and nutrition and breastfeeding support.
  • Caregiver Connections: Programs, services, and resources for family caregivers of older adults.
  • Operation House Blanket: Fleece blankets and a limited selection of quilts.
  • Mountain Recreation: Information about youth and adult programs.
  • Colorado State University Extension: Family Matters newsletters.
  • Mountain Dreamers: Information about services and community resources.

Learning, Financial Health & Opportunity

  • Eagle Valley Library District: Information about library resources, services, and programs.
  • The Literacy Project: Free adult English classes at the Avon, Eagle, and Gypsum libraries, plus free one-on-one tutoring for citizenship test preparation and personal learning goals.
  • Savings Collaborative / FEC Rockies: Financial counseling information and tools to strengthen financial health.
  • Juan Arraiz: Insurance and OmniSalud information.
  • Elevar: Entrepreneurship and leadership resources.
  • Walking Mountains: Information about energy, radon, recycling, and rebates.
  • Holy Cross Energy: Information about energy assistance and sustainable solar options.

Dinner: A free dinner will be offered.
Language support: MIRA’s team is bilingual in English and Spanish. Many partners will also offer bilingual staff or materials; support varies by organization.
