Vail Social Community Potluck Partners with Eagle Valley Community Foundation and TheCommunity Market to Fight Hunger in Our Community
New this year at the Vail Social, participants will have the opportunity to augment this fun celebration of coming together as neighbors by supporting community members in need. The event has partnered with the Eagle Valley Community Foundation and The Community Market to host a donation box at the event for non-perishable food. Every donation will help the more than 6,200 neighbors who rely on The Community Market each week.
“The Vail Social has always been about bringing people together, and this year, we’re channeling that energy into a cause that truly matters,” said Melina Valsecia, Executive Director of the Eagle Valley Community Foundation. “Even if you’re not attending, you can still play a vital role in supporting our mission to end hunger in our community.” “The partnership was a no-brainer,” said Vail Mayor Travis Coggin, “This event is all about fun, food and community so why not share the love even further?”
For those who won’t be at the potluck, there’s no need to miss out on the opportunity to make a difference. You can drop off your non-perishable food donations at either Community Market location during business hours. Your contribution, no matter how small, will help ensure that our friends and neighbors have access to the nutritious food they need.

The Vail Social Potluck, now in its fifth year, is more than just an event—it’s a celebration of the ties that bind us together. This year tables were reserved within a half hour, a testament to how much this gathering means to our community. But let’s remember that the spirit of the Vail Social isn’t confined to those who have a seat at the table. It’s about everyone coming together, in any way they can, to support the place we call home.
So, whether you’re attending the potluck or simply dropping off a donation, know that you’re contributing to something much larger than yourself. You’re helping to feed families, support neighbors, and strengthen the fabric of our community.
