Steering Committee Member Highlight- Marcel Asprilla
Meet Marcel Asprilla, born on May 13, 1982, in Bogotá, Colombia, and proud father of two beautiful girls. Marcel is known for his patient and attentive nature, always ready to learn from others. With over 15 years of hands-on experience in fixing electronic devices, specializing in cell phones, computers, and tablets, he’s become a go-to expert in the field.
In 2011, Marcel made the bold move to the United States, leaving behind his home country to embrace a thrilling new challenge. Arriving without knowing the language, culture, or the American way of life, Marcel faced some initial hurdles. However, upon reaching Colorado, he quickly fell in love with the breathtaking landscapes, the warmth of the people, and the abundance of outdoor activities the state has to offer.
Despite the initial challenges of adjusting to life in the United States, Marcel’s willingness to listen, learn, and adapt has been his key to success. Drawing on the advice of friends and mentors, he navigated through the unfamiliar terrain, building a life in a foreign land.
With the unwavering support and guidance of his parents, Marcel recognized early on that mastering any skill, continuous self-improvement, and a touch of discipline can help overcome life’s obstacles. Applying his expertise in electronic device repair, Marcel started freelancing within the Latino community. Fueled by a high demand for repairs, he took the leap in 2014 to establish his own business in Edwards, Colorado. For almost a decade, Marcel’s business has thrived, fueled by the constant demand for his repair services.
Today, Marcel embraces the understanding that with dedication and a genuine passion for one’s work, remarkable achievements are within reach. His journey from a newcomer in the U.S. to a successful business owner is a testament to the power of perseverance, continuous learning, and a love for what you do.
