Our Most Successful MIRA Wellness Fair Yet
This October, MIRA celebrated its 5th Annual Wellness Fair—our most successful fair to date—drawing more families, offering more services, and deepening community connection like never before.
For the first time, the fair was held in Gypsum, responding directly to community feedback and increasing accessibility for families who asked us to bring this event closer to home. Hosted at Gypsum Elementary School, the fair welcomed parents, children, and neighbors into a warm, indoor space filled with hands-on services, resources, and opportunities to learn and connect. A shared meal encouraged families to stay, explore, and make the most of everything offered.
A Growing Impact
This year’s fair saw remarkable growth:
- 364 attendees, a 45% increase from last year
- 40 participating partners, a 33% increase
- 9 brand-new services added, expanding the scope of care
- 76 guest satisfaction surveys completed—our first year capturing direct attendee feedback
Across all partners, families received meaningful, actionable support, including:
- 179 vaccinations
- 50 vitals screenings
- 35 oral screenings
- 10 vision screenings and 15 vision vouchers
- 4 cancer prevention test kits
- 20 mammogram referrals
- 3 mental health therapy sessions
- 9 nutrition consultations
- 9 fitness consultations
- 19 immigration legal consultations
- 12 personal finance consultations
- 12 car seats
- 254 blankets
Every number represents a person who walked away with new knowledge, a needed resource, or a next step toward better health.
