MIRA Launches Perinatal Program: Empowering Parents with New Support Services

We are thrilled to announce the launch of MIRA’s new Perinatal Program, a significant step forward in our mission to support the health and well-being of parents and families in our community. This program has been made possible thanks to a generous grant from IMPACT Behavioral Health, and we are excited to begin offering specialized perinatal navigation services.

Pregnancy and the early months of motherhood are pivotal times in a family’s life, filled with both joy and challenges. Ensuring that women have the right support during this period is crucial for their health and the health of their babies. That’s why our new Perinatal Program is designed to provide comprehensive guidance and resources, helping expectant and new mothers navigate this transformative journey.

We are especially proud to share that Sofia, a valued member of the Elevar Steering Committee, will be leading these perinatal navigation services within the MIRA program. Sofia’s dedication, experience, and deep understanding of our community’s needs make her the perfect person to offer personalized support to mothers and families.

Through this program, Sofia will assist women in accessing critical resources, such as prenatal and postpartum care, mental health support, nutritional guidance, and more. By providing this navigation, we aim to reduce the stress and uncertainty that many women face during pregnancy and early motherhood, ensuring they have the support they need to thrive.

The launch of our Perinatal Program represents a major expansion of MIRA’s services, allowing us to address one of the most important social determinants of health: maternal and child health. With Sofia’s guidance, we are confident that this program will have a lasting positive impact on the lives of many women and their families.

We are deeply grateful to IMPACT Behavioral Health for their belief in our vision and for providing the funding necessary to make this program a reality. Together, we are empowering women, supporting families, and building a healthier, stronger community.

Stay tuned for more updates as we roll out this exciting new service. If you or someone you know could benefit from perinatal navigation, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Sofia at sofia@eaglevalleycf.org or Phone 970-343-2655.
