Veyra Gamboa  is a first generation immigrant. Born in Leadville, Colorado, Veyra was raised in Edwards, attending local schools and graduated from Battle Mountain High School in 2013. Since Middle School, Veyra has been volunteering with various local nonprofit organizations, with a passion for working with children and coaching soccer.  She has worked in customer service and accounting; but when Veyra was offered employment at The Community Market (TCM), she embraced the opportunity to return to the nonprofit world. Veyra is Operational Manager for TCM, leading a staff of 12, helping to provide barrier-free access to healthy food to all local residents. Veyra leads with compassion and inspiration, helping to ensure all customers feel welcome and the shopping experience is dignified. While volunteering at different organizations, Veyra found remarkable people that helped her so much in her life, so much so that she wants to give back to the community that has given so much to her and her family.
