Join the Elevar Steering Committee- Applications Open Through February 27
At Elevar, we believe leadership is most powerful when it reflects the community it serves. As we continue building capital, community, and curriculum for BIPOC entrepreneurs across Eagle County, we are opening applications for our Elevar Steering Committee.
This is an opportunity for community leaders, business owners, mentors, and advocates to help shape the strategic direction of a growing entrepreneurship accelerator rooted in equity, access, and lived experience.
Current Open Seats
We currently have 3 seats available on the Steering Committee, with terms running through June 30.
Steering Committee contracts follow Elevar’s program year calendar (June–July), ensuring alignment with each new cohort and annual planning cycle.
This application period will remain open until Friday, February 27.
Looking Ahead: 2026–2027 Seats
We will run a second round of applications in May/June 2026.
At that time, we expect to have:
- At least 2–3 seats available, or
- Possibly 5–6 seats, depending on Elevar’s FY 2026–2027 budget and program growth.
As Elevar continues to expand, Steering Committee leadership will play a key role in strengthening sustainability, partnerships, and long-term impact.
What Does the Steering Committee Do?
Steering Committee members:
- Provide strategic guidance and thought partnership
- Strengthen connections to local businesses and community networks
- Support mentor recruitment and entrepreneur engagement
- Offer insight on curriculum, partnerships, and funding strategy
- Champion Elevar’s mission in the broader community
This is not a ceremonial role. It is hands-on, collaborative, and impact-driven.
Who Should Apply?
We welcome applications from individuals who:
- Believe in expanding access to entrepreneurship for BIPOC leaders
- Bring lived experience, business expertise, or strong community ties
- Are committed to equity, mentorship, and long-term systems change
- Can actively participate in meetings and planning conversations
Whether you are a seasoned executive, an entrepreneur, or a community advocate, your perspective matters.
Why It Matters
Elevar is more than a business accelerator. It is a community-building engine. It supports entrepreneurs who are often excluded from traditional capital and mentorship networks — helping them grow sustainable businesses that strengthen the entire region.
By serving on the Steering Committee, you help ensure Elevar remains:
- Community-informed
- Financially sustainable
- Entrepreneur-centered
- Culturally responsive
Apply by February 27
If you or someone you know would be a strong addition to the Elevar Steering Committee, we encourage you to apply before Friday, February 27.
Together, we are building leadership pathways that reflect the brilliance, resilience, and vision already present in our community.
