Coming Together to Fight Hunger: Food and Toy Drives Across Eagle County

As the holiday season approaches, our community is stepping up in a big way to ensure that no family goes hungry. Local organizations, schools, and businesses are hosting food and toy drives, bringing people together to support neighbors in need. These efforts not only provide essential resources but also foster a spirit of generosity and unity throughout Eagle County.

Here’s a look at some of the incredible food and toy drives happening this season:

Community Food and Toy Drives

  • Town of Vail Community Potluck: A gathering that combines great food with a chance to give back.
  • Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association Food Drive: Lending a hand to fight hunger.
  • Bravo! Vail Food Drives: Music and generosity come together to support our community.

School-Led Initiatives

  • Eagle County Charter Academy: Students and staff rally to make a difference.
  • Stone Creek Charter School: Hosting both food and toy drives this November.
  • Battle Mountain High School Food Drive: November 20, 2024, marking a day of student-led impact.
  • Berry Creek Middle School: Starting at Thanksgiving, running through December 12.

  • KZYR Radio Turkey Drive: Partnered with Encore Electric for the “Tons of Turkeys” campaign on November 6, 2024.
  • EPIC Express Fill the Van Food Drive: Taking place at Eagle City Market on November 16, 2024.
  • Ron Byrne & Associates Food Drive: A key supporter of our community food access programs.

Individual and Small Business Contributions

  • Cynthia Pillsbury’s Private Lunch: Hosting a fundraiser and food drive on December 17, 2024.
  • Berit Brooks Small Business Drive: Food & Toy Drive in Edwards on November 30.

Special Events and Celebrations

  • 2024 Ugly Sweater Fun Run: Join us on Sunday, December 15, at 8:30 a.m. for a fun and festive way to support our community.
