Bob Torvestad: A Career in Service
He began his journey into service as an early VISTA member, then decided to travel abroad for a 5-year gig as the Peace Corps Director in Gambia, Africa… eventually, Bob returned to the States along with culture shock as the AmeriCorps Director during the Clinton administration. Afterwards, he transitioned yet again and worked tirelessly as part of the inaugural faculty at the Clinton School of Public Service at the Univerity of Arkansas recruiting returning Peace Corps volunteers and AmeriCorps members.
We are lucky that he shares our love of service and this community. Come to this fun event to listen and share inspiring stories with Bob!
