VISTA AWARD
Our Community Foundation was awarded a three year grant from the Corporation for National & Community Service for 10 AMERICORPS VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America)volunteers who commit to a twelve month full time role to work with local organizations to strengthen our community and help people escape poverty. Our local VISTA projects will leverage resources and expand the scale, reach and effectiveness of existing organizations that assist low income individuals throughout our community. VISTAS are agents of change, bringing important resources to our nonprofits – motivated, capable people.
Our VISTAS will strengthen and support nonprofits through expanding community partnerships, building organizational infrastructure, and helping to secure needed systems, processes and resources in organizations.
